A great ad done by DDB Canada for the Canadian Cancer Society.

I know I’m a bit of bleeding heart and this ad definitely played to that. But I love the raw emotion displayed here. The anger, the hurt, the hate. Powerful stuff.

I wonder if these were actors or true survivors. I’d like to know the answer to that.

    Emma - glad you liked the spot. The emotion was very raw because all of those featured did have a real cancer experience either as a patient, survivor or caregiver. We didn't script this campaign... we just asked people to talk to camera from their own experiences. We're gradually adding some companion videos featuring each of the individuals to our Youtube channel at www.youtube.com/cdncancersociety. Four of the eight posted so far. More to come soon.
